Juan Carlos Delgado

Browsing through Juan Delgado's online portfolio/website was really interesting. His artwork is almost 100% different than anything I've done and what I usually browse through, so it was nice to see something new.
I couldn't understand the spanish, but there were alot of things that I did like.
I thought the Sin titulo,2002 was really cool, I think we mentioned in class that it was a black pool with oil put into it. The pictures had a really nice green smokey looking effect that was different every time.
Also, the shoes exhibition he made was something I've never really heard of before. I thought it was really interesting how the artwork would change over time due to the mold that was eating away at the leather.
The last one that really caught my eye was the 100 cubos de luz blanca. Basically, from what I could tell from the photos, he set up 100 light cubes around the town/city and left them on all day. The pictures that he has show little cubes that give off a nice glow. I think it was nice because it really added a touch to the living environment and changed the way you see the environment. For example, where it used to be just a hill of grass and trees - it was now an illuminated park where people could be intrigued by the small glows.
I liked his art because it is something new to me, and gives me ideas that I could possible try in the future.

Introduction

Hey everyone, so my name is Hannah, I'm an EMAT major with a minor in Business Administration. I'm also a senior, and both nervous and excited to graduate in May. I'm also an air force brat, so I've moved around alot, spending most of my time growing up in South Korea; which is where I get a lot of my inspiration from. I'm hoping to get into website design, illustration, and animation. I've recently also taken up to sewing and making purses, pouches, etc. and I've set up my own shop on Etsy called Anyong. Take a look to see what I've done outside of digital art. :)
Other than that, I've gotten really into Tumblr, find me at Heypickme.
And I have my own website to showcase my portfoilio online : www.kyongart.com
